Rosen Penthouse

Bordighera – jun 2015
The renovation of this 80-sqm-apartment located on the last floor of a traditional early ‘900 English villa has used a very linear design as a frame for an eclectic mix of modern, ancient and ethnic details.
The designers found a space that had been strongly transformed during the last renovation made in the 80’s. Revisiting the stylistic choices made in order to lighten and de-materialize the existing structure, they tried to create back a dialogue with the traditional architecture.
The massive wood stair has been replaced by a very linear white resin structure which gives back fluidity to the space, connecting the ground floor to the first floor and creating a much more dynamic space.
The floor of the wide common area has been entirely covered with a strong texture parquet while the room is marked by light play which incorporates the kitchen while subdividing functional areas.
Some ethnic details, remembering the origin of the owner, create colorful touches while the old iron heaters strengthen the personality of this penthouse.
The arrangement of lights, mirrors and furnitures also permits to enjoy the wonderful view on the coast from every position in the apartment.
Finally the first floor is characterized by very intimate and warm rooms. The bathroom more precisely has been completely realized with very dark colors while the led lighting follows the emotional feature that has led this entire project.

SUPER G&G

Main character of the project is the vertical connection between the levels of the apartment. The staircase divides spaces vertically (bedrooms under, living area above) and horizontally (bedrooms and utilities at the ninth floor, kitchen and living room at the tenth floor). The materials chosen for the stair (metal, wood, glass) let the whole apartment have strength and transparency. Glass especially lets the natural light arrive until the lower floor. The living area in the attic is a continuous and wide space thanks to large glassy door on the terrace.

Corso Dante

L13 – Private Apartment

The renovation of this penthouse gave us the opportunity to create an open space with 3 windows that look on the amazing view of Capri Island and Naples bay. The strategy of breaking the old long corridor putting a central bathroom reaches 3 targets: it makes a separation from the night part to the day one, it creates a independent separation for the studio (helped by a oversized glass sliding door) and last but not least by create the second bathroom for this penthouse.
The global result is an elegant and minimalist space supported by fine materials and finishes.

Gravina 13 – WineBar & Restaurant

The challenge was to renovate an old restaurant into a wine bar + restaurant.
The aim of the project was to recreate the atmosphere of living at home. Wood, fabrics warm light and colours gave the opportunity to reach this target. All the white wood sofas designed by me are customizable in position in order to make a versatile space. The restaurant is a mix of rustic and playful contemporary space that follows the spirit of the kitchen.

Casa D

The intervention is located near Massignano, a small town a few kilometers from the sea, in a beautiful hilly landscape characterized by vineyards and olive groves.
The client had a large garage (120 sqm) who wanted to turn into a dwelling for his daughter.
The project is organized around a traditional Italian system, divided between living and sleeping areas characterized by a different treatment of floors and is organized on a long corridor that runs through the entire building and that visually connects the entrance with an opposite window.
The house interacts with the outside through the garden, where you can see the sea, which is structured through the use of offset plates of local stone, that determine different areas of use: parking, dining area, paths, etc.
Outer space is characterized by the presence of a single vegetal element: an olive tree that the client has planted at the birth of his daughter.
